OWASS PUTS SMILES ON FACES OF BEKWAI BECE CANDIDATES
The anxiety, tension and desire to squarely face the challenge as candidates, especially as first timers require in-depth and thoroughgoing preparations.
However, the recent stringent directives issued by the Ghana Education Service on conduct of examinations at the Basic Schools restrain headteachers and teachers from taking monies from either students or parents in the name conducting and running examinations.
The challenge faced by most BECE candidates in Public Schools is inadequate and unsatisfactory preparations. Once heads and their teachers are taken out of the picture, the responsibility to organise preparatory activities and programs for candidates are pushed to the door steps of various District/Municipal Assemblies.
Ergo, the Bekwai Municipal Assembly is yet to organise or conduct any form of a preparatory program to make ready the candidates of the Municipal for the tough challenge ahead.
It is with this background and the keen interest in education that, Mr Henry Opoku Ware(OWASS) has for the second successive time, in collaboration with the GES (Bekwai Municipal Directorate) organized a well structured Municipal Quiz Competition among candidates of Public Junior High Schools within the Bekwai Municipality.
This is a token from him to support and give life and hope to candidates to face the challenge ahead in next month.
All 76 Public Junior High schools shall be grouped into ten separate circuits where the preliminary stage shall be held under strict moderation and supervision from the GES, Bekwai.
In getting the best out of the candidates and eventually showing in their final results, rich prizes shall be given out at every stage of the competition until the ultimate is won at the grand finale.
Let's all come together to support our alma mater from Monday (19th September, 2022) as we kick-start the prelims.
