OWASS PUTS SMILES ON FACES OF BEKWAI BECE CANDIDATES

The anxiety, tension and desire to squarely face the challenge as candidates, especially as first timers require in-depth and thoroughgoing preparations. However, the recent stringent directives issued by the Ghana Education Service on conduct of examinations at the Basic Schools restrain headteachers and teachers from taking monies from either students or parents in the name conducting and running examinations. The challenge faced by most BECE candidates in Public Schools is inadequate and unsatisfactory preparations. Once heads and their teachers are taken out of the picture, the responsibility to organise preparatory activities and programs for candidates are pushed to the door steps of various District/Municipal Assemblies. Ergo, the Bekwai Municipal Assembly is yet to organise or conduct any form of a preparatory program to make ready the candidates of the Municipal for the tough challenge ahead. Nkomo 91.7fm Partners With Bekwai Municipal GES To Organize Inter-Schools Quiz Competition.

.By Boakye Michael . .. the Trophy  and the medals for the winners of the ongoing Nkomo FM Mega Quiz competition for all junior high schools in the Bekwai municipality. This Mega Quiz competition is proudly sponsored by MR. HENRY OPOKU WARE. The first stage of the quiz competition started from the various circuits across the municipality. The winner and the first runner-up schools at every circuit will proceed to the next stage of the competition which is the semi finals. Circuits that have been captured include, Dotom, Bekwai North, Bekwai South, Anwiankwanta, Ntinanko, POANO, Dominase , Abodom and  Bogyawe, making Kokofu circuit the last circuit to be captured tomorrow in  the first stage of the competition. The Battle of the Lawyers. Interesting times ahead as Bekwai Constituency decides who leads them into getting development to our beloved  constituency when the national cake is shared. Obviously there has been tension surrounding the picking of nomination form and the submission the said form to being disqualified at vetting. The Ashanti region,  Kumasi to be precise is currently seeing works on inner city roads being done. Asokwa, Manhyia, Oforikrom and other municipalities.  Same as the Bekwai municipality in improving the movement within the constituency.  The Bekwai constituency is gradually seeing development and it is highly believed that it is a result of our current MP's contribution to national development. BEKWAI MUNICIPAL NABCO TRAINEES DONATES PPEs TO VULNERABLE COMMUNITIES IN THE MUNICIPALITY.

Some NABCO trainees within Bekwai Municipality have volunteered to move round some communities within the municipality to sensitize the populace on the corona virus disease. This is part of our contribution as Nation Builders to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 within the municipality. According to the  NABCO coordinator of  Bekwai Municipality, in the person of Mr. Vincent Attobrah Kyei, it becomes imperative for trainees as Nation builders to contribute their quota in the the fight against the deadly disease. The NABCO trainees within the municipality have also made some contributions and  bought some PPEs to donate to the communities where the sensitization will take place. Communities identified by the trainees as vulnerable include Kyekyewere Betinko Kwamang Abesewa Abodom Kortwia Senfi Ofoase kokoben.
