OWASS PUTS SMILES ON FACES OF BEKWAI BECE CANDIDATES

The anxiety, tension and desire to squarely face the challenge as candidates, especially as first timers require in-depth and thoroughgoing preparations. However, the recent stringent directives issued by the Ghana Education Service on conduct of examinations at the Basic Schools restrain headteachers and teachers from taking monies from either students or parents in the name conducting and running examinations. The challenge faced by most BECE candidates in Public Schools is inadequate and unsatisfactory preparations. Once heads and their teachers are taken out of the picture, the responsibility to organise preparatory activities and programs for candidates are pushed to the door steps of various District/Municipal Assemblies. Ergo, the Bekwai Municipal Assembly is yet to organise or conduct any form of a preparatory program to make ready the candidates of the Municipal for the tough challenge ahead.
